Qualification and Skills Required
- B.E./B.Tech
- 8-10 years of experience
- The practical ability to extract and clean data, visualize it, communicate it and utilize it effectively
- Strong mathematical and statistical skills
- Proficiency in R/SAS/MATLAB/Octave/Mahout/Excel/ with expertise in one (Expertise in R a big plus)
- Undertaken coursework or gained practical experience in data mining/business intelligence/statistics
- Undertaken coursework or gained practical experience in building algorithms
- Strong problem solving and logical skills
- The ability to think creatively and work well both as a team member and individual contributor
- Knowledge of SQL and Java/C/C++ (desirable but not required)
- Knowledge of Hadoop and other Big Data related technologies (desirable)
- Researched and implemented new algorithms in data analysis
- Strong understanding of machine learning and related algorithms
