Responsibilities
- Design, code, test and debug new features and enhancement to Flytxt products over Big Data platform following best practices of agile software development
- Deliver features on-time and to specification with a very high degrees of quality, extensibility, scalability and performance
- Religiously follow coding and other development standards
- Develop and maintain automated functional tests
- Performance tuning and improvement of Big Data based product features and infrastructure
- Resolve technical issues and development impediments faced by team members
- Actively participate in various sprint meetings including daily SCRUM meetings and perform daily risk analysis of backlogs
Qualification and Skills Required
- Excellent understanding of J2EE Patterns and Frameworks
- Strong experience in Java/ J2EE development, Struts/JSP 2.0/Serv let 2.4 and Hibernate
- Thorough understanding of the HTTP protocol
- Working knowledge of AJAX libraries, modern JavaScript Frameworks such as Ext JS, DOJO, Ajax Anywhere, CSS and DHTML
- Experience in APACHE, JBOSS, Tomcat and the respective configurations
- Experience in test driven development
- Desirable Skills
- Experience in one or more of Hadoop, HBase, Pig, Hive, Oozie, Mahout, Distributed Computing a big plus
- Profiling and Performance Tuning experience
- Knowledge of Agile and Scrum development process
- Exposure to Telecom Domain
- Active contribution to Open Source projects
- BE/Btech, 3-5 Years
