Job description:
Responsibilities
- Responsible for leading Big Data related technical development efforts
- Define analytics roadmap for clients – identify & prioritise areas of analytics driven value creation opportunity
- Build and scale the Big Data sandbox environment within the organization
- Define and own technology roadmap for Big Data
- Conceptualize, plan and own the Big Data related infrastructure & HDFS management for the company
- Own and deliver projects in the competency area
Qualification and Skills Required
- 5+ YEARS WORK EXPERIENCE in Big Data technologies (Hadoop & related, No Sql DBs)
- Experience should include both hands-on delivery as well as stints in a project management capacity
- Ability to absorb a business context to conceptualize the best solution
- Very good interpersonal skills, able to influence without authority, adaptable to change and possess initiative and creative approaches
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-starter, willing to work in a start up with the motivation to build the organization as the best in the industry
- Familiarity with the analytics industry
- Prior work experience in organizations in the areas of big data management, business reporting, visualization and / or predictive analytics
- Solution development within the functional domains of marketing, customer relationship management, sales, supply chain, risk management or pricing function – preferably in financial services, technology, retail, CPG, manufacturing, healthcare or telecom industry
